How to Get Ready Look your best! Attitude: Bring a good attitude, be ready early, rested, positive, relaxed and looking forward to getting a great image of yourself. These are important in achieving a great image AND are the factors that are in your control. We look after the rest. Clothing: Wear well fitted clothing that is consistent with the role you are portraying. Keep it Simple: Generally avoid overly bright colours, fine stripes or fine patterns as these can cause problems with some images. Also, strongly patterned or shiny fabrics can be very distracting. In general, keep jewellery and accessories simple and low key, unless you are always exuberant in this department (and it fits the business image). Men: Clean shaven, designer stubble or beards are fine. But there is an in-between zone that doesn't work well for the camera. Haircut a few days before really helps. Women: Light makeup works well - go more strongly with makeup if you are sure it works (it is easier to retouch light makeup than to undo the effects of excess poorly applied makeup). If in doubt, we will bring in a professional hair and makeup artist. There are exceptions: If your corporate colour is lime green, lime green it is. If your business distinguishes itself as irreverent and creative, the photography, what you wear and how you present will reflect that. What to Avoid Don't party heavily the night before or engage in activities you know will make you feel off-colour. |
During and After the Shoot How Long it Takes: For The Business, it generally takes a few minutes in front of the camera for us to get a great image - once we get rolling. Often we get the shot within the first five! Our setup time can take 30 minutes and 15-20 is needed for takedown. You will need to ensure that all people who are going to be photographed are ready when needed. Ask us if you are unsure of how much time is required. Checking Images: You will have the opportunity to check photos on the camera as we shoot, or at the end of the shoot on laptop. There is the opportunity to try again if either we or you are not satisfied. If we need to come back, however, that is another photoshoot and will be charged separately. Selecting Images: If you are decisive, you can make up your mind about which images to have mastered at the end of the shoot. The alternative is that we will create an online proofing gallery for you to choose the images at your leisure - just email us the image numbers once you have made up your mind. Often clients can't pick between several images and ask us to select the best of maybe 2 or 3 images they prefer - that is fine by us! Space: If the photography is on your premises, we need SPACE! A larger meeting, training or a boardroom will do, without the boardroom table in the middle - check with us if you are in doubt. We don't mind moving the odd chair, but office relocations are not our thing. Parking: For photography on your premises, we would appreciate a parking space if you have one. If not, tips on where to find a carpark are appreciated. How to Get the Process Started Work out how many people you need photographed, any other photographic needs you have, and where the images are likely to be used, like on web sites, brochures or posters. Contact us with this information, we will advise on the best approach, confirm the price and arrange a date for the photography.
